I simply do not know what to say about the sad news today about the death of Gordon.
I’ll let my thoughts settle, but I can say this now: Gordon gave me permission to fall in love with magic again. I was fed up with the egos and the nonsense. Gordon reminded me (and us all) that magic is about humanity and joy. The gifts he has passed onto us “folks” who have been in this for the long haul are truly wonderful.
What he gave was not just knowledge, but heart.
He has connected me “to the others”, letting us know there is a wider and loving community of wizards.
and in his own words, which he shared with me when I was grieving the death of my mother, I want to share the breathtaking empathy that defined him:
“Grief is not the weight we carry because something is gone — it is the honor we give to what we loved so deeply.”
Grief and Praise are one and the same.
and I really Praise Gordon White for being in my life.

Beautiful and succinct. Thank you.
So well said, my gratitude (and condolences )
